1. CHANCE TO DANCE
Saturday 12th July 2008, Sheffield City Centre
Once again, the annual event of Chance to Dance is just round the corner. We have kindly been given 2 dance slots to do 2 salsa taster sessions and lead the MASS SALSA at the end of the event.
I would like us to demo Salsa, Bellydance & Bollywood at the opening of each of our dance slots. Even though we won't be doing a bellydance or bollywood taster session, we would still like all the people that have taken part on the demo to join in the salsa taster session.
I have asked most people about joining us, but if you would like to join us on the day, please let me know. I'm looking for people to demo the dance, help to give out flyers, take photos or come along just for general support.
AIM TO DANCE demos:
We will all be dancing to the same track.
There should be something that everyone, no matter what level, can join in with
SALSA DEMO :-
Beginner dancers to do a dance line (basic footwork & basic shines)
Improvers/ Intermediate dancers to do partnerwork then into rueda circle
BELLYDANCE DEMO:-
Beginners to do sequence from 'Shakira' routine
Intermediate to do sequence from 'Saharni' routine
BOLLYWOOD DEMO:-
Beginners to do sequence from 'Maahi Ve' routine

Rehearsal are on Wednesday 2nd July and 9th July 7:00pm to 8:00pm at Croft House Settlement, Garden Street, Sheffield, S1 4BJ, or we can also use 10 minutes of class time to go through the sequences.
